DEMIR MASKIN IS AN ENTREPRENEUR WHO LOVES LIGHTING
We want to introduce you to our customer Demir Maskin & Entreprenad i Södertälje, where we have the pleasure to meet Sebastian Demir who owns the company and runs the operation. After a short chat about the company we are impressed by how simple and genius the business model is. Demir Maskin & Entreprenad can solve all customer problems and offer a one-stop-shop including both a store and a workshop. Sebastian has in earlier interviews declared that; “The customer can call us at any hour. We handle all matters from flooded basements to sewage problems and faulty excavators”.
The machine park is made up of 15 machines including a Rolba septic truck, a Lundberg tool carrier, loader trucks and excavators from Volvo, JCB, Huddig and Hitachi. In line with the business idea they can offer a number of services such as snow clearance, street sweeping and excavation. When we visit Demir Maskin & Entreprenad the season has switched from snow clearance to street sweeping. The Lundberg tool carrier is now equipped with a large brush instead of a snow plow.

Demir Maskin & Entreprenad have been using products from HBA since the start of their business and the lighting cooperation is booming. HBA did just deliver two new demo sets for the remodeled store that Sebastian and his companion Jonatan are about to finish. Sebastian says that partnering with HBA was given from the start; “We do a lot of our work during evenings and nights, which means that we need good lights. HBA is the best partner both for work lights and automotive components”.
The company turnover reached 10 million SEK in 2021, their highest number this far. Sebastian see a bright future and predict 2022 to be a good year with continuous growth. They have recently invested in a crimping machine and customers are travelling from all over southern Stockholm to get their hydraulic hoses crimped.
During our visit we are blown away by the drive and initiative possessed by Sebastian and Demir Maskin & Entreprenad. An example of this is how the company, other than their construction business with store and work shop, also offer rental of both mobile and stationary radio systems. The units are neatly assembled on a display that Sebastian calls “his Command Center”.
But the entrepreneurship does not stop at radio systems. Sebastian is always on the hunt for new opportunities and his most recent investment is an old band wagon. Sebastian has remodeled the engine, and next up is to change the trailer wagon for a flatbed with a crane. The last step is to paint the wagon white and black and hopefully equip it with loads of HBA lights. Sebastian says that the end result will be a one of a kind vehicle. We can nothing else but agree.
Demir Maskin & Entreprenad has an innate will to evolve and grow. When we ask Sebastian what motivates him the most, he quickly answers that his driving force are the customers. He sums it up well when he announces; “It is an achievement on our part when the customers are confident that they can call us at any time. No matter what, they know that we can solve all problems”.
